1. About these terms

These terms are an agreement between you and Bill & Debt Snowball ("we," "us") about your use of the app. By creating an account or using the app, you agree to them and to our Privacy Policy. If you don't agree, please don't use the app.

2. What the app is — and isn't

Bill & Debt Snowball provides educational tools and general information to help you organize bills, debts, income, and savings and to plan a debt payoff. It is not financial, legal, tax, or investment advice, and we are not a bank, lender, broker, or financial advisor.

Your debt-free date, payoff order, forecasts, verdicts (such as "Can I Afford It?"), and every other projection are estimates calculated from the numbers you enter. They are not guarantees, and they will be wrong if your inputs are incomplete or out of date. The app does not access your bank accounts and does not move money on your behalf — any payment you make, you make yourself. Please consult a licensed professional before making financial decisions.

3. Your account

Keep your login details secure and give us accurate information. You're responsible for activity on your account. Tell us right away if you think someone else has accessed it. During the beta, accounts are by invitation.

4. Beta, and features in development

The app is a beta. Features may change, move between plans, or be removed. Some features shown on our website, including an AI assistant and bank account linking, are still in development and are not available yet; nothing here promises a date for them.

5. Paid plans, trials, and cancellation

Paid plans are not live during the beta — every feature is currently available without charge. When paid plans launch, the following applies:

• Prices and billing periods (monthly or yearly) are shown before you subscribe. Payments are processed by Stripe.
• Automatic renewal: a paid subscription renews automatically at the end of each billing period, at the then-current price, until you cancel.
• Free trials: if a trial is offered, it converts to a paid subscription automatically when the trial ends unless you cancel before then.
• Cancelling: you can cancel any time online from Settings. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the period you've already paid for; you keep paid features until then, after which your account returns to the free plan. Your data stays.
• If a payment fails and can't be collected, we may switch your account back to the free plan.
• We may change prices with advance notice; a change applies from your next renewal. If you believe you've been charged in error, contact us and we'll review it.

6. Availability — no uptime guarantee

We work to keep the app running, but it is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. We don't promise uninterrupted, error-free, or always-available service, and there is no service-level agreement (SLA). Maintenance, outages, and problems with the services we rely on may interrupt access or, in rare cases, lose data. Please keep your own records of anything important, and don't rely on the app as your only record of what you owe.

7. Your data

You own the information you enter. We use it only to run the app for you, as described in the Privacy Policy. You can delete your account any time in Settings, which permanently removes your data.

8. Acceptable use

Don't use the app to break the law, to access anyone else's account or data, to interfere with or overload the service, or to scrape it or copy it in bulk. We may suspend accounts that do.

9. No warranties

To the fullest extent the law allows, we make no warranties of any kind about the app, including about the accuracy or completeness of any calculation, projection, or recommendation, or that it will meet your needs.

10. Limit of liability

To the fullest extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages, or for financial decisions you make using the app or losses that result from them. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us for the app in the 12 months before the claim. Nothing in these terms limits liability that can't be limited by law.

11. Ending your use

You can stop using the app and delete your account whenever you like. We may suspend or end access if these terms are broken, or if we discontinue the app, and we'll give reasonable notice where we can.

12. Changes to these terms

If we change these terms we'll update the date above. For significant changes — such as when paid plans launch — we'll tell you before they take effect. Continuing to use the app after a change means you accept it.
